The vegetable garden has a formal layout, with Goblet Pear trees at each corner of the four rotation beds. The borders are geometrically designed around them to add more vegetables and flowers. The garden faces north on a slope, with a stepped area to create a dramatic entrance from the lowest level. The cobblestone images of garden insects were designed and made by Maggie Howard.
